Ritzville City Center Sign

This sign directs visitors to the main shopping and historic district in Ritzville. The sign was restored in 2012 by the Ritzville Downtown Development Association, you can read about it here. The Downtown Ritzville Historic District contains 27 properties that were built in between 1889 and 1935.

Built in 1913 and named for the daughter of the 1st manager; the Ruby Theater is located in downtown Chelan. It is one of the oldest movie/vaudeville theaters in the state and has been showing movies almost continually since opening. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

In operation since 1973, the Ginkgo Gem Shop is a family owned and operated business located in Vantage, WA next to the Columbia River and the Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park. They sell fossils, minerals, gems, crystals, petrified wood and other rock related doodads. They also have some large dinosaurs lurking around the outside of their building. A small community in Douglas, County, WA.So small that there is no population data on this tiny town. It’s named after cattleman J.J. Withrow and is just a few houses and several abandoned buildings. It is also located with in a National Natural Landmark (NNL) area. Specifically, the Withrow Moraine and Jamison Lake Drumlin Field.
